Teófilo Gutiérrez y Edwin Cardona hicieron los goles el jueves y Colombia venció 2-0 a Perú en la apertura de las eliminatorias mundialistas de Sudamérica.

“Teo” Gutiérrez, de cabeza, puso arriba a Colombia en ventaja a los 35 minutos luego de un tiro de esquina que ejecutó Juan Guillermo Cuadrado por derecha.

La pelota llegó a la cabeza del zaguero Cristian Zapata, quien habilitó a Gutiérrez. Ambos estaban libres de marca en un descuido de la defensa peruana.

El mediocampista Cardona, que ejerció como armador ante la ausencia del lesionado James Rodríguez, marcó en los descuentos con un pase de Cuadrado.

Radamel Falcao entró a los 75 minutos y fue aclamado por los espectadores, aunque el “Tigre” pesó poco en sus minutos en cancha.

Colombia jugará contra Uruguay en Montevideo el martes, cuando Perú choca con Chile en Lima por la segunda fecha de las eliminatorias.

El partido se disputó en medio de una elevada temperatura en el estadio Roberto Meléndez ante unos 40.000 aficionados
