Community: Jazz benefits Burbank and Burroughs

The instrumental music associations of Burbank and Burroughs high schools are setting aside their crosstown rivalry this week and producing a fundraising jazz concert at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Burbank High School Auditorium.

“An Evening of Jazz” will showcase TV composer and Burbank resident Ron Jones (“Family Guy”) and his Influence Jazz Orchestra, along with jazz ensembles from the two high schools.

Proceeds will benefit the music education programs at Burroughs and Burbank high schools. Tickets at the door are $10, and $5 for students and seniors.
