Burbank area events: Art organization’s exhibit ends soon

The Burbank Art Assn. is hosting an art exhibit through Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Betsy Lueke Art Center, 1100 W. Clark Ave., Burbank.

The exhibit features various art forms such as paintings and sculptures.

Center to host field trip to casino

The Joslyn Adult Center to host a field trip to Morongo Casino from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

Participants will be able to play on the slot machines or play a table game. While on the field trip, Morongo will provide a free trip to the Cabazon Outlets. Bring money for lunch.

This off-site field trip costs $23 ($21 with a Burbank Senior Activity Card).

Regal to present Medicare lecture

Regal Medical Group will host a lecture about Medicare at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, at the Joslyn Adult Center, 1301 W. Olive, Burbank.

The lecture will cover information on selecting a healthcare plan. There will also be a question-and-answer session as well as an opportunity to compare different plans with an independent Medicare insurance agent.

Burbank to host Winter Wine Walk

Downtown Burbank will host a holiday street fair from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, along San Fernando Boulevard in Burbank.

Part of the fair will include an event called “Winter Wine Walk.” Each participant will receive a tasting cup and a map of tasting sites, which will have designated areas for participants to sample beers or wines.

Each ticket will cost between $55 and $99. Upon ticket purchase, participants will receive their designated check-in location.

Check-in will be between 3 and 6 p.m., and each participant must check in at the designated area.

Parks and recreation department to host scavenger hunt

The city’s parks and recreation department will host its third annual scavenger hunt from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Stough Canyon Nature Center, 2300 Walnut Ave., Burbank.

A kid-friendly hike will also be offered. Tickets for the event cost $5 per person, and participants must register for a ticket at burbankparks.com.

Golf club to hold open to the public tournament

A golf tournament called “Thanksgiving Shotgun” will be held at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28, at the DeBell Golf Course, 1500 E. Walnut Ave., Burbank.

Tickets for the event cost $55 per player or $40 for players with a Canyon Club membership at DeBell.

City Hall to host tree-lighting ceremony

*A tree-lighting ceremony will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Burbank City Hall, 275 E. Olive Ave., Burbank.
