An ice-skating rink will be open from Thursday Dec. 12, to Jan. 5, 2020, in downtown Burbank, 150 N. Third St., Burbank.

Along with ice skating, the rink will offer curling and skating lessons on certain days.

Holiday boutique to be held at Creative Arts Center

A holiday boutique is being held through Thursday, Dec. 19, at the Betsy Lueke Art Center, 1100 W. Clark Ave., Burbank.

The boutique features an assortment of pottery, decorations and jewelry.

Area church slates Nativity event

A drive-through nativity event will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, and Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Community Christian Church of the Foothills, 10193 Tujunga Canyon Blvd., Tujunga.

While driving through the site, attendees will see various scenes from the nativity story.

Theater to present Christmas performance

“The Merry Little Christmas Show” will be presented at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Colony Theatre, 555 N. Third St., between Cyprus Avenue and Magnolia Boulevard in Burbank.

The performance will also feature special guest Kurtis Simmons.

Community singers to perform at center

The Burbank Singers will perform at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at the Joslyn Adult Center, 1301 W. Olive Ave., Burbank.

The group sings musical standards, including Broadway and seasonal holiday songs.

An event called “Paint Nite: You Make Me Melt” will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at El Criollo Cuban Bar & Grill, 916 W. Burbank Blvd., Burbank.

An event called “Polar Plunge” will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Verdugo Recreation Center, 3201 W. Verdugo Ave., Burbank.

Nature center to host ‘Noon Year’s Eve’ party

A “Noon Year’s Eve” party will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the Stough Canyon Nature Center, 2300 E. Walnut Ave., Burbank.

This kids-only event will include arts and crafts and a countdown celebration to noon. Registration for the event is required, and the cost is $15 per child.
