Local actress appears in two festival films

Teen actress Kari Irwin appears in two films that were accepted by the Burbank International Film Festival.

Irwin plays Daisy Zombie in the dark horror film, “Hinnon Valley,” which was directed by Rick Greenwood, an up-and-coming Hollywood director.

In the film “Jillian Sometimes,” Irwin plays a medical receptionist named Kim in this short psycho drama produced by and starring Jason Lockhart.

“I am really excited about both screenings. I am sure this will be a lot of fun for me and everyone else who comes to see these and other great movies,” Irwin said.

“Hinnon Valley” screens during the festival in the film block beginning at 11:55 a.m. on Sept. 18. “Jillian Sometimes” screens during the film during the 6:15 block on Sept. 18.
