St. Robert Bellarmine Elementary School in Burbank presented its 20th annual kindergarten holiday musical, titled “Once Upon a Christmas,” on Monday in St. Eleanor Hall at St. John Paul II STEM Academy.

The group of primarily 5-year-olds had been rehearsing since October and sang classic holiday songs such as “Away in a Manger” and “Go Tell it on the Mountain.”

The musical centered around the Christmas story of Mary and Joseph being denied shelter in Bethlehem and having to find a barn to deliver their child, Jesus.
