A 22-year-old Burbank man was arrested Friday, a day after he allegedly robbed a Big 5 Sporting Goods store at knifepoint, using an on-display knife, police said.
Emanoel Khechadori entered the Burbank store around 7:20 p.m. Thursday and asked to see a knife with a 2.5-inch blade that was on display, said Burbank Police Officer Cindy Guillen.
He then reportedly used the knife to rob the store clerk, demanding the clerk hand over the money in the cash register. The suspect took off with $640.
Khechadori showed up at the Burbank police station the following day and turned himself in, Guillen said.
