Glendale couple hospitalized, Burbank man arrested after argument leads to double stabbing

A Glendale woman and her fiancé were stabbed in Burbank on Saturday night after a fight that stemmed from the attacker feeling “disrespected,” police said.

The 30-year-old woman had been at the male suspect’s Burbank home earlier visiting his girlfriend when she got into an argument with the man and left, according to Burbank Police Sgt. Claudio Losacco.

She returned shortly after with her fiancé, a 33-year-old Burbank man. An altercation between the two men turned physical, and at some point, the suspect – identified as 28-year-old Adis Pirnazari – reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the woman’s fiancé in his arm and torso.

When the woman tried to step in, she was also stabbed in her upper body and arm.

Police did not elaborate on why Pirnazari felt disrespected.

After witnesses confronted Pirnazari, he went into his home on the 200 block of East Valencia Avenue. When officers arrived, they surrounded the home and ordered him to come outside, Losacco said. He complied and was arrested.

The couple was hospitalized after the attack with “significant” stab wounds, but both have since been released, Losacco said.

Investigators searched Pirnazari’s home and found the knife they believe was used in the attack.
