Grease fire breaks out at Burger King in Burbank

A grease fire broke out at a Burger King in Burbank shortly after the restaurant opened Tuesday morning, prompting an evacuation, fire officials said.

At 6:25 a.m., firefighters responded to the restaurant, located in the 500 block of North Victory Boulevard, where they knocked down the blaze, said Burbank Fire Capt. Peter Hendrickson.

No injuries to employees, customers or firefighters were reported.

The restaurant was closed Tuesday pending an inspection by Los Angeles County public health officials.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
