Providence High graduates ‘the little class that could’
When Providence High School held its graduation ceremony on Saturday, the class had 80 seniors, fewer students than usual graduating from the private Catholic school in Burbank, said Greg Castro, the school’s community outreach coordinator.
There were 96 Providence graduates in 2011, 98 in 2012 and 87 last year.
“They were like the little class that could,” he said this week. However, even though they make up a smaller group, they are off to big schools such as Boston College, UCLA, USC and Cal Tech.
