WENDELL DEAN BROCKMAN

Wendell Dean Brockman, 67, died Oct. 31, 1999, in San Pedro.

Mr. Brockman was born in Coleridge, Neb. He was a longtime Burbank

resident. He worked as a guard at the the Walt Disney Co. for two years.

He is survived by his daughters, Linda Sue Steele and Mary Lou Robak;

sister, Bonnie Corona; and grandchildren, Benjamin Steele, Rebekah,

Thomas, Nicholas and Elizabeth Robak.

A memorial service was held Nov. 5 at Gamby Mortuary, Lomita.

Gamby Mortuary, Lomita was in charge of the arrangements.

GLADYS INEZ MORTELLARO

Gladys Inez Mortellaro, 83, died Nov. 1, 1999.

Mrs. Mortellaro was born in Texas. She was a Burbank resident for 54

years. Affectionately known as “Mrs. Tony,” she was a preschool teacher

and administrator at Ruth Pedersen Day School and Music Box Nursery

School for more than 25 years.

She was PTA President at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School, David

Starr Jordan Middle School and John Burroughs High School. She was a

member of the Emblem Club of the B.P.O.E., Burbank Lodge.

She is survived by her sons, Carlo and Tony Jr.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mrs. Mortellaro’s name to

the Parkinson’s Institute at 1170 Morse Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94089.

Funeral services and interment were at Calvary Cemetery, Los Angeles.

GAIL E. ROBBINS

Gail E. Robbins, 90, died Nov. 13, 1999, in Sacramento.

Mr. Robbins was born in Alliance, Neb. He was a Burbank resident for

60 years. He worked as a purchasing agent, prior to his retirement in

1974.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda Garthwaite; and son-in-law, Alan

Garthwaite.

His wife, Margaret, died before him.

Harry A. Nauman & Son of Sacramento was in charge of the arrangements.

JOHN H BELL

John H Bell, 80, died Nov. 13, 1999, in Burbank.

Mr. Bell was born in St. Louis. He was a Burbank resident for 47

years. He worked as a police officer and detective at the Burbank Police

Department for more than 20 years. He was also an actor appearing in

movies such as “Oh God” and television shows such as “The Dukes of

Hazard.” He is survived by his wife, Peg E of Burbank; sons, Gary and

Ron of Burbank; daughter, Marybeth Costanzo of Burbank; brother, Robert

of Burbank; son-in-law, Carl Costanzo; daughter-in-law, Debbie; and

grandchildren, Michael, MaryAnne, Matthew and Brandon of Burbank. Cards

and flowers can be sent to the family residence. For information, call

566-6677. A private service for the family will be held Monday.

WILLIAM ALEXANDER SHOTT III

William Alexander Shott III, 52, died Nov. 15, 1999, in Burbank.

Mr. Shott was born in Los Angeles. He was a Burbank resident for 48

years. He was an actor and a longtime member of the Screen Actors Guild.

He is survived by his mother, Winifred; sister, Judith Herbert;

nieces, Denise Herbert and Michelle Arraija; great-nephews, Frank, Eric,

Aaron and Justin Arraija; and great-niece, Brittany Solis.

A visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Valley Funeral

home. A Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier

Church.

Valley Funeral Home is charge of the arrangements.
