Burbank Chorale opens season with holiday concert

BURBANK -- The Burbank Chorale will open its 1999-2000 season with a

free holiday concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, atThe Hall of Liberty,

Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills, 6300 Forest Lawn Drive.

This special event will feature selections from Handel’s “Messiah,”

Bach’s “Magnificat,” “Oh Holy Night,” and “Go Tell it on the Mountain.”

The program will end with a holiday sing-a-long.

Founded in 1920, the Burbank Chorale celebrates its 80th anniversary

in 2000, and is the oldest performing arts organization in the San

Fernando Valley. They have performed at the 1932 Olympics and at the San

Francisco and San Diego World Fairs.

While the concert is free, donations will be accepted.
