MAGNOLIA PARK -- Colorado Lt. Gov. Joe Rogers, the youngest person and
the only African-American holding that office in the United States, will
pay a visit to Gordon R. Howard Museum from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The free event is being sponsored by the 43rd Republican Central
Committee and Rep. James Rogan (R-Burbank).
Rogers is the chairman of the National Republican Lieutenant Governors
Association and chairman of the Colorado Commission on Indian Affairs. In
2000, he will sponsor the Lt. Governor’s Conference on Youth to improve
the quality of education in Colorado, organizers said.
The Gordon R. Howard Museum is in George Izay Park, 1111 W. Olive Ave.
