Giving back to the future

MEDIA CITY CENTER --In the spirit of holiday giving, director George

Lucas has re-released the blockbuster “Star Wars: Episode I -- The

Phantom Menace” to theaters, including the AMC Burbank 14, for a one-week

run that began Friday, with all proceeds going to charity.

“The theater was booked by Fox,” says Keith Arlotti, publicist for the

local multiplex.

The charity, which were selected by AMC Theatres corporate office,

that will benefit from the local showing is Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

The PG-rated movie will play four times a day today and Thursday. The

theater is at 140 E. Palm Avenue in Burbank. For information and
