The following incidents were taken from police reports.
MAGNOLIA PARK
1920 W. Clark St.: A 16-year-old John Burroughs High School student
was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana possession for sale
at noon Tuesday, police said. The boy allegedly had several small plastic
bags containing marijuana in his backpack. He was cited into juvenile
court and released to his parents, police said.
MEDIA CITY CENTER
500 block of North First Street: A 22-year-old Van Nuys woman and a
19-year-old Panorama City man were cited for petty theft at 4:10 p.m.
Tuesday in a Media City Center parking garage, police said. The two
allegedly attempted to steal four hubcaps off a Pontiac Firebird. A
security guard saw them take the car parts and placed them under
citizen’s arrest, police said. They were cited and released at the scene.
SOUTH SAN FERNANDO DISTRICT
Intersection of San Fernando Boulevard and Verdugo Avenue: A
31-year-old Sun Valley woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under
the influence of alcohol at 6 p.m. Tuesday after crashing into a light
pole. A witness told police they saw the woman veer off the road into the
pole. Officers detected the odor of alcohol on the woman and conducted a
field sobriety test, which she failed, police said.
400 block of South Flower Street: A 48-year-old Burbank man was
arrested on suspicion of making terrorist threats against a woman at
4:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said. The man allegedly threatened to kill the
woman and set fire to her house because she was attempting to evict him
from a shed he was living in on her property. Police said the woman had
agreed to let the man stay on her property when his truck -- which he had
been living in -- was impounded.
200 block of West Verdugo Avenue: A 19-year-old North Hollywood man
and a 23-year-old Burbank man were arrested on suspicion of attempted
burglary at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, police said. The pair allegedly tried
to break into a BMW and also attempted to steal a battery from a Honda
motorcycle. Both vehicles were in a parking garage. Tools -- including a
knife and screwdrivers -- were found near the car and the motorcycle’s
battery had been detached, police said.
MEDIA DISTRICT NORTH
2600 block of North Niagara Street: A North Hollywood woman was
arrested on suspicion of battery and possession of cocaine at 9 p.m.
Sunday, police said. The woman had been placed under citizen’s arrest by
a Burbank woman who said she was assaulted by the suspect in her home.
After the woman was taken into custody, officers found a small plastic
bag containing cocaine in her front pocket, police said.
