The following incidents were taken from police reports.
MEDIA DISTRICT NORTH
Intersection of Amherst Drive and San Fernando Boulevard: A
39-year-old Pacoima woman reported that a woman broke the back window of
her car with a glass bottle at 3:25 p.m. Saturday, police said. The woman
told police that the other woman drove up and began yelling at her and
challenged her to a fight. At one point, the two women pulled to the side
of the road and the unidentified woman picked up a bottle and threw it at
the rear window of the Pacoima woman’s car. No arrests were made.
1100 N. San Fernando Boulevard: An 18-year-old woman was arrested on
suspicion of petty theft and possession of dangerous drugs at 9 p.m.
Monday, police said. The woman was arrested at Ralphs market for stealing
$4 worth of Vivarin, police said. At the jail, officers found a glass
vial containing what they believed was methamphetamine, police said.
BURBANK VILLAGE
Intersection of San Fernando and Magnolia boulevards: A 23-year-old
Los Angeles man was arrested on suspicion of evading a bicycle patrol
officer at 9:13 p.m. Saturday, police said. The officer attempted to stop
the man for making an illegal U-turn along San Fernando Boulevard, police
said. The man allegedly pretended to pull over but then quickly sped
away. The officer broadcast the description of the man’s car over the
police radio and the suspect was arrested a few blocks away, police said.
MEDIA DISTRICT WEST
300 block of North Pass Avenue: A 16-year-old Burbank boy was cited on
suspicion of stealing a carton of cigarettes from Von’s at 2:30 p.m.
Sunday, police said. An employee found the boy’s backpack laying on the
ground unattended and discovered the carton inside, police said. When the
boy came to claim the bag, the employee the boy admitted taking the
cigarettes. police said. The boy was released to his parents, police
said.
MEDIA CITY CENTER
600 N. San Fernando Blvd.: A 17-year-old IKEA employee reported that a
co-worker exposed himself to her at 8 p.m. Friday, police said. The girl
was working in an office at the furniture store when she turned around
and saw the man with his pants down, police said. No arrests were made.
NORTHWEST DISTRICT
2500 block of Victory Boulevard: A 20-year-old Reseda man was arrested
on suspicion of robbery after snatching a 79-year-old Burbank woman’s
purse at 2:18 p.m. Monday, police said. The woman was approaching her car
when the man came from behind and shoved her, grabbing her purse and
fleeing, police said. A witness saw the suspect get into a van and
followed the vehicle for a time before returning and reporting the
license plate number to police. The man was tracked down at a relative’s
house in North Hills, police said. An LAPD officers stopped the man,
finding the woman’s checkbook and some cash in the van, police said.
