The following incidents were taken from police reports.
NORTHWEST DISTRICT
3700 W. Jeffries Avenue: A 13-year-old Luther Burbank Middle School
student was arrested and cited on suspicion of petty theft at 7:20 a.m.
Thursday. The girl allegedly stole $2 from the purse of an 11-year-old
student. The alleged victim told school authorities that she walked away
from her purse and when she turned around the older girl was looking into
it, police said. The girl was cited and released back to the school,
police said.
MEDIA DISTRICT WEST
400 block of Hollywood Way: A 22-year-old Burbank man reported that
two gunmen robbed him of more than $200 at 9:15 p.m. Thursday. The man
said he was leaving an apartment building laundry room when two men
wearing ski masks and holding handguns approached him, police said. The
two men demanded money and ran off after getting it. The men were not
found.
HILLSIDE DISTRICT
700 block of South Glenoaks Boulevard: Two 17-year-old Burbank boys
and a 19-year-old Burbank man were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to
commit vandalism at 9:25 p.m. Thursday. A witness identified the three as
the people who had spray painted graffiti in an alley, police said. A
fourth suspect eluded the officers on foot. One of the suspects allegedly
left a can of spray paint in the back of the patrol car.
2600 block of North Glenoaks Boulevard: A 15-year-old Sun Valley boy
was arrested on suspicion of possession of a dangerous weapon at 11:20
p.m. Friday. Officers stopped the boy, who was with friends, because it
was past curfew, police said. When the officers asked to search the boys,
the teenager told them he had a tire iron in his waistband, police said.
MEDIA DISTRICT NORTH
1600 block of North San Fernando Boulevard: A 40-year-old Burbank man
was arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine at 11:59 p.m.
Thursday. The officers found a plastic bag containing the drug in his
pants pocket, police said.
1000 block of North San Fernando Boulevard: A 45-year-old Panorama
City man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of
alcohol at 2 a.m. Friday. The man was stopped by officers after they said
they saw him driving over the center divider and weaving. A 22-year-old
North Hollywood man, who was sitting in the backseat, was arrested on
suspicion of possession of cocaine.
MEDIA CITY CENTER
201 E. Magnolia Blvd.: A 19-year-old Burbank man was arrested on
suspicion of grand theft at 8:10 p.m. Friday. The man allegedly stole a
North Hollywood woman’s wallet earlier on Friday. Shortly after 8 p.m.,
the woman saw the man and yelled for security. An off-duty police officer
who was in the mall detained the man.
