The following incidents were taken from police reports:
BURBANK VILLAGE
200 block of South First Street: A 41-year-old Los Angeles woman
reported that her ex-boyfriend dragged her by the arm from his car at
8:45 p.m. Friday. The two were arguing about money when the woman got out
of the car and walked away. The man allegedly drove up next to the woman
and accelerated when she rested her left arm on the car window. She was
dragged about 30 feet, police said. The woman was treated by paramedics
at the scene for pain to her right and back side.
HILLSIDE DISTRICT
700 block of Harvard Road: A nativity scene worth about $100 was
stolen from the frontyard of a home between midnight and 7:30 a.m.
Monday. The owner of the nativity scene, an 85-year-old Burbank woman,
told police someone unplugged her lights and took the decoration, which
included statues that were several feet tall, police said.
600 block of Brown Drive: A 72-year-old Burbank man was arrested on
suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon at 10:15 a.m. Sunday. The man
allegedly pushed his neighbor, a 39-year-old man, and hit him with a
3-foot metal stake that was used to determine the property line. Police
said the older man was upset that his neighbor wanted to build a
retaining wall on the property line. The younger man had some swelling on
his leg but was not hospitalized, police said.
MEDIA CITY CENTER
200 block of East Cypress Avenue: A 22-year-old San Gabriel man was
arrested at 3:40 p.m. Monday on suspicion of burglary and could face an
additional charge of hit-and-run police said. The man allegedly tried to
use a stolen credit card to purchase merchandise at Macy’s. An employee
followed the man outside and saw him back out of a parking space and hit
another car, police said. The suspect ran away but was caught at Glenoaks
Boulevard and Olive Avenue after a brief foot pursuit. A stolen
MasterCard was recovered on Magnolia Boulevard, police said.
NORTHWEST DISTRICT
1300 block of North California Street: A 21-year-old Burbank was
arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 7:40
p.m. on Dec. 18. Officers arrested the man after he hit a speed bump and
crashed his car into two parked cars, police said. A 30-year-old Valley
Village woman, who was a passenger in the car, suffered minor injuries
and was treated at the scene.
3200 block of West Victory Boulevard: A 30-year-old Azusa man was
arrested on suspicion of battery at 6:15 p.m. Sunday after allegedly
causing serious injuries to his ex-wife’s boyfriend. A 25-year-old
Burbank man received a fractured eye socket and nose when he was punched
by the Azusa man while he was sitting in a van, police said. The suspect
also dragged the Burbank man out of the van, police said.
