ALICE CANNING
Alice Canning, 90, died Dec. 28, 1999, in Los Angeles.
Mrs. Canning was born in New York and lived in Burbank for 60 years.
She was a retired from the city of Los Angeles, where she worked as a
records clerk for 20 years.
She is survived by her son, James, of Burbank; daughter, Barbara, of
Burbank; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at Forest Lawn Mortuary, Hollywood
Hills. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills.
WILLIAM F. WALLISER
William F. Walliser, 81, died Dec. 23, 1999, in North Hollywood.
Mr. Walliser was born in Pittsburgh and moved to North Hollywood in
1952. He was employed with the North Hollywood Post Office. Mr. Walliser
was a longtime member of Little White Chapel Christian Church in Burbank.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy; son, Bill; daughter, Linda Sylvern
and twin daughters, Beth Sexton and Cathy Wright; and six grandchildren,
Kenny, William and Megan Sexton, Kailyann and Aaron Sylvern, and J.J.
Wright.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Childrens’ Camping
Fund, Little White Chapel Christian Church, 1711 N. Avon St., Burbank, CA
91505.
EARL O. PARTIN
Earl O. Partin, 82, died Dec. 29, 1999, in Burbank.
Mr. Partin was born in Barboursville, Ky., and lived in Michigan for
more than 40 years. He lived in Burbank for the past three years.
Mr. Partin was retired from General Motors Corp. He was a member of
the AFL-CIO union.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eulala; son, Johnny;
daughters, Chelsea M. Porter. Barbara A. Caira and Linda J. Mullens;
uncle, Cilous Adams; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and
great-great-grandchildren.
Interment was at Washenong Memorial Park in Ann Arbor, Mich.
ETHEL MAE MCNICHOLS
Ethel Mae McNichols, 96, died Dec. 27, 1999, in a Burbank hospital.
Mrs. McNichols was born in Beulah, N.D. She moved with her parents to
Idaho in 1909. She moved to Glendale around 1935. She raised two
daughters before beginning a 37-year career as an Amway distributor. She
was a longtime member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Glendale. She
moved to Burbank in 1993.
Mrs. McNichols is survived by her daughter, Myrna Kay Smith; grandson,
Wyler Jason Smith; and great-granddaughter, Brooke Morgan Smith.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Seventh Day Adventist Church,
610 E. California St., in Glendale. Interment will be in Boise, Idaho.
