Martin Luther King tribute tonight

NORTHWEST DISTRICT -- The Burbank Human Relations Council will honor
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at 7 p.m. today at Little White Chapel.
“An Evening Remembering Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.” will feature
several speakers, including John Hill, chief of staff for L.A. County
Supervisor Yvonne Brathwaite-Burke, Burbank Human Relations Council
President John Brady and the Rev. Ron Degges.
Entertainment will include a performance by The Morris Dance Project
and a gospel tribute by Marissa Mike from John Burroughs High School.
The objective of the evening is to eliminate hate crimes by fostering
King’s message of nonviolence and racial harmony, organizers said.
Little White Chapel is at 1711 N. Avon St.
