Ball machine company comes to Burbank

AIRPORT DISTRICT -- Sports Tutor Inc., a leading manufacturer of

athletic ball machines, decided to set up shop in Burbank.

The company, which will move from North Hollywood, purchased 3.5 acres

of property at 3400 Winona Ave. Sports Tutor’s real estate arm, Bill and

Bill Property Management, agreed to pay $5.7 million for the industrial

complex. The company bought the property from Tiffany Nussbaum.

Sports Tutor plans to occupy 30,000 square feet of the 106,000 square

feet total. The remainder will be leased out.

Sports Tutor plans to relocate 50 jobs to the city.

The company in a leading manufacturer of baseball, tennis and

volleyball pitching machines.
