Prom night for Joslyn seniors in June

MAGNOLIA PARK -- Seniors 55 and older who never made it to their
school prom or who just want to relive a happy memory are invited to the
Joslyn Recreation Committee’s second annual Joslyn Senior Prom.
The prom, to be held at 7 p.m. June 17 at the Joslyn Center, will
feature the 15-piece The Esquires -- a nonprofit organization that
teaches young musicians to play big band-style music. The event will be
semiformal.
In the prom tradition, a king and queen will be announced. To enter,
submit an entry of 100 words or less on the topic, “Burbank senior
programs improve and enrich the lives of seniors.”
Tickets can be purchased Sundays at 2 p.m. and Tuesdays at 10 a.m. at
the adult center, 1301 W. Olive Ave. The cost is $5.
