CIVIC CENTER -- Three men were arrested on suspicion of assaulting a

security guard with a deadly weapon in an alley behind Fantasia Billiard,

133 N. San Fernando Blvd.

The weapon in question was a steel gate, police said.

Bail for Jeremy Brewer, 28, of Glendale, Kevin Petrunyak, 32, of

Burbank and Scott Rudolph, 28 or 29, of Keesburg, Va. was set at $30,000

each.

After spending Wednesday evening at the billiard club, the three men

were asked by security guard John Denny to finish their drinks and leave,

police said. After arguing with the guard, the three men left the club.

Later, they returned and used steel gate they found by a dumpster as a

battering ram against the back door of the club, police said.

When Denny came out and told the men to leave, a scuffle broke out,

police said.

One of the men hit Denny and, when he fought back, the men pinned him

against the wall with the gate, police said. Denny was also hit in the

face by a cell phone.

The men fled and were apprehended at 1:34 a.m. Thursday at San

Fernando Boulevard and Angeleno Avenue, police said.

The men accused Denny of battery and he was cited by officers but not

arrested, police said.

The three men remained posted bail and were released from custody of

the Burbank Police Department Thursday, police said.
