Eleven days left to register pets

BURBANK -- Residents who have put off registering their pets with the

Burbank Animal Shelter for 2001 are running out of time.

After Jan. 31, fees will double for those who have not registered

their dogs older than 4 months, horses, or wild animals.

The Burbank 2001 animal registrations will continue from 8 a.m. to 7

p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday through Jan. 31

at the shelter, 1150 Victory Place.

Cat owners can voluntarily sign up their feline friends for $5.

Owners must bring proof of a current rabies vaccination and a spay or

neuter certificate. Senior citizens 62 or older can receive a discount

with proof of income, a spay or neuter certificate and proof of age.

Registration fees are $50 for unaltered dogs; $11 for altered dogs;

and $15 for wild animals and horses.
