Congratulations

Jeff Neal, an eighth-grade student at St. Francis Xavier School in

Burbank, has been nominated to the California Junior Scholarship

Federation Outstanding Student Award Program. He was honored at the

regional conference March 31 at Junipero Serra High School in Gardena.

Colleen Ibanez, an eighth-grade student at St. Francis Xavier School

in Burbank, has been nominated to the California Junior Scholarship

Federation Outstanding Student Award Program. She was honored at the

regional conference March 31 at Junipero Serra High School in Gardena.

Jeffrey Looby, son of Jim and Debby Lobby of Burbank, has been named

an All-American Scholar by The United States Achievement Academy. He

attends Jordan Middle School. To receive the honor, he had to achieve at

least a 3.3 grade point average.

Hilary McDaniel, daughter of Mark and Deborah Curlanis of Burbank, has

been accepted to Stanford University’s Graduate School of Education.

She is completing a double major in political science and human

development at UC Davis and will graduate in June. As a student in

Stanford’s teacher education program, she will pursue a master’s degree

and teaching credential.

She is a 1997 graduate of John Burroughs High School.

Kristen Marie Jordan, Lindsay A. Maas and Jeffrey James Stephenson,

all of Burbank, have been selected for the dean’s honor list at UC Santa

Barbara.
