Swift Fox is one of the hand-colored lithographs that are part of the
exhibition “John James Audubon in the West,” opening Saturday at the
Autry Museum of Western Heritage. Nature lovers are familiar with
Audubon’s portraits of birds. Less well known is his series of
illustrations devoted to the four-legged mammals of North America. The
museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and until 8
p.m. Thursdays. Admission is $7.50 for adults, $5 for seniors and
