Church offers temple facility for services
In a cooperative endeavor, officials of St. Jude’s Episcopal Church
have offered use of their facility to Temple Beth Emet for its high
holiday services.
A higher attendance for Rosh Hashanah, Sept. 17 and 18, and Yom
Kippur, Sept. 26 and 27, call for a larger worship facility. Last year,
Rabbi Mark Sobel of Temple Beth Emet searched for an appropriate
facility, and Father “Chuck” Mitchell graciously opened the church doors
to the temple congregation, without a usage fee. The temple has been
invited to return this year.
Crafters needed to help with church boutique
Crafters in the community are invited to help raise funds for a local
church group by making items for the annual boutique.
The Christian Women’s Fellowship at Little White Chapel is having its
13th annual Fall Festival Crafters Boutique on Nov. 2 and 3. at the
church social hall, 1711 N. Avon St., Burbank.
Those interested in helping can call 846-8609.
