Church offers temple facility for services

In a cooperative endeavor, officials of St. Jude’s Episcopal Church

have offered use of their facility to Temple Beth Emet for its high

holiday services.

A higher attendance for Rosh Hashanah, Sept. 17 and 18, and Yom

Kippur, Sept. 26 and 27, call for a larger worship facility. Last year,

Rabbi Mark Sobel of Temple Beth Emet searched for an appropriate

facility, and Father “Chuck” Mitchell graciously opened the church doors

to the temple congregation, without a usage fee. The temple has been

invited to return this year.
