Animals galore!

BURBANK -- The animals will be out for more than a walk in the park
this weekend.
The Festival of the Animals will be from noon to 8 p.m. today and 11
a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Los Angeles Equestrian Center, 480 Riverside
Drive Burbank.
The event will include a pet fair, horse shows, dog contests, a
chariot race and Frisbee-catching dogs.
Money from the event will benefit local animal rescue organizations.
“The event seeks to help these organizations get the word out, get
animals into good homes, let people know more about spaying and neutering
and being good to your animals,” event spokeswoman Joanne Asman said.
An auction and raffle will be held, which will include memorabilia
signed by the cast of the television shows “ER” and “Dharma & Greg.”
The Andalusian Lusitano and Icelandic Championship horse shows will
also be held.
