Lisa Kelly and Michael Seales exchanged wedding vows at The Wilshire
Ebell Club in Los Angeles, with Jere E. Yates officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Peter and Patricia Kelly of Westlake
Village. She graduated with honors from UC San Diego with a bachelor’s
degree in literature, and spent her junior year abroad at the
Inter-University Center for Film and Literary Criticism in Paris.
She continued her education at UCLA’s School of Film and Television
and graduated with a master’s degree in fine arts in film producing and
production.
Her career pursuits have ranged from digital effects on films such as
“Batman Forever” and “Outbreak” to animation with projects like “Prince
of Egypt” and “Chicken Run.” She is now in live-action filmmaking as a
story editor with Mandolin Entertainment.
A member of the improv group Instant Gratification, she performs at
the Comedy Store in Los Angeles.
Michael is the son of Roxanna and John Baldwin Seales of San Diego. He
graduated with honors from UC Santa Cruz with a bachelor’s degree in
physics, and spent his junior year abroad at the University of York in
England. He is employed as a software architect for DreamWorks Feature
Animation.
The maid of honor was Thanh-Thanh Dang.
Bridesmaids were Kim-Van Dang, Bernadette Lautrette, Melissa Cohen and
Linda Olszewski. Grandmothers of the bride, Pearl Anderson and Peg Kelly,
completed the bridal party. Childhood friends of the bride, Lisa Sugino
and Peggy Crespin, greeted guests and coordinated the evening’s events.
The best man was Andrew Seales, the groom’s brother.
Groomsmen were Len Gutman, Jim Cracraft, Von Do and Mark Kelly, the
bride’s brother.
The couple honeymooned in Bora Bora and is living in La Crescenta.
