TIMOTHY ‘TIM’ DALE MATTHEWS
Timothy “Tim” Dale Matthews died Nov. 30, 2001, at his Burbank home.
He was 36.
Mr. Matthews, a longtime Burbank resident, was born May 10, 1965, in
Oildale. He worked as a cable engineer.
Matthews is survived by his grandfather, Jack Roach; father Larry
Matthews; brother Michael Matthews; sister Lorinda Snyder; longtime
girlfriend Elizabeth Zugarazo; and their daughter Alina Dale Matthews; as
well as numerous stepbrothers; stepsisters; aunts; uncles; nieces; and
nephews.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Little White Chapel
Christian Church, 1711 N. Avon St.
ETHEL GLASMANN STALLINGS
Ethel Glasmann Stallings died Dec. 9, 2001, at Providence St. Joseph
Medical Center. She was 92.
Ms. Stallings was born July 18, 1909, in Gravity, Iowa. She was a
four-year resident of Burbank. Ms. Stallings worked at Lockheed on the
electronics assembly line before her retirement.
She was a member of Burbank’s Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. She enjoyed gardening and exercising, and loved horses and dogs.
Ms. Stallings is survived by her daughter, Virginia Soloman; stepson
John Howard; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints. Burial was in Grandview Cemetery.
JAMES E. HAYES
James E. Hayes, 75, died Dec. 9, 2001, in Burbank.
Mr. Hayes was born June 7, 1926, in Chicago. He was a 24-year resident
of Burbank.
Mr. Hayes is survived by his wife, Allie J. Hayes; daughter Mary Lyn
Hayes; son and daughter-in-law Jim and Cathee Hayes; daughter and
son-in-law Ellyn and Thomas Loveland; daughter and son-in-law Kerry and
Ernie Aguilar; and five grandchildren.
A private funeral service was Friday.
CHARLES LEANMAN
Charles Leanman died Dec. 11, 2001, in North Hollywood. He was 96.
Mr. Leanman was born July 5, 1905, in Mobile, Ala. He was a 61-year
resident of Burbank. He was co-owner of Ave Maria Shop, and he was a
newspaper writer.
Mr. Leanman is survived by his nephews, Charles Lamas, Richard Lamas
and Bernie Lamas; nieces Kitty Knauer and Loretta Ebel; and many
great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services were Friday at St. Patrick’s Church in North
Hollywood.
MARY A. ALBRECHT
Mary A. Albrecht, 76, died Dec. 10, 2001, at Providence St. Joseph
Medical Center.
Ms. Albrecht was born in 1925 in Eureka, Kan. She was a Burbank
resident for 58 years. Ms. Albrecht was a homemaker. She was a former
member of the Burbank Art Assn.
Ms. Albrecht is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Fred and
Gretchen Albrecht; daughter and son-in-law Susan and Ray Alford; son
Trace Albrecht; and grandchildren Todd and Kevin Alford.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at Emmanuel Lutheran
Church, 6020 Radford Ave., North Hollywood.
