Shots fired near gas station

BURBANK -- Police were investigating a report of shots being heard

outside of a gas station at 201 W. Alameda Ave.

A 44-year-old Burbank man was pumping gas into his car Monday at Arco

when he heard four or five shots gunshots, Burbank Police Sgt. Bill

Taylor said.

The man and other witnesses took cover behind their cars, and the man

told police he thought he saw a car stop in front of the station. He

might have seen shots coming from that car before it drove away, Taylor

said.

The man later found bullet marks on his car’s hood and above its

windshield, Taylor said.
