Christina E. Piazza, 19, of Burbank...

Christina E. Piazza, 19, of Burbank was placed on the dean’s list

at Cal State Northridge. She finished her first year at CSUN, where

she is majoring in music industry. She sings in two choirs at the

university and performs with various church organizations.

She is the daughter of Sam and Rose Piazza, also of Burbank.

Christina graduated from Providence High School in Burbank last

year, where she was active in the theater and music departments.

Jasmine Taylor, a 1999 Burroughs graduate, is attending the

University of San Francisco, where she is majoring in exercise and

sport science.

She is the daughter of Marta Carroll.

Burbank residents who made the dean’s list at Azusa Pacific

University are Lawrence D. Atienza, a marketing major; Lindsey L.

Kelley, an English major; Tessa M. Kelley, a liberal studies major;

Krikor Keshishian, a psychology major; and Ginny L. Masterani, a

psychology major.

Jennifer Strattan of Burbank was awarded a bachelor’s degree in

music from Whitworth College in Spokane, Wash.

The Board of Trustees of Southwestern University School of Law has

selected Butler D. Shaffer of Burbank as the Irwin R. Buchalter

Professor of Law, for his outstanding teaching, professional

accomplishments and service to the law school community.

Justin Umpierre of Burbank has made the dean’s list at Syracuse

University.
