Parents go back to school
Moms and dads will have the opportunity to attend back-to-school
programs at Burbank public schools next week.
Teachers will speak with parents about course outlines and will
review state curriculum standards for the various grades.
Additionally, teachers and parents will review classroom behavioral
guidelines, including attendance and discipline.
At middle and high schools, parents will follow their children’s
schedules, as they go from one classroom to the next.
McKinley Elementary School and Miller Kindergarten School host
their programs Monday. Luther Burbank, David Starr Jordan and John
Muir middle schools’ programs are Tuesday. Burbank and Burroughs high
schools’ sessions are Wednesday. Thursday’s meetings include the
elementary schools of Disney, Edison, Emerson Harte, Jefferson,
Miller, Providencia, Roosevelt, Stevenson and Washington.
Elementary and middle school evenings begin at 6:30 p.m., and the
high schools begin at 7 p.m.
