Police stop alleged shooting plot
MEDIA DISTRICT NORTH -- Five men have been arrested for conspiring
to shoot possible gang rivals, possibly at Burbank night spots,
officials said.
Ricardo Ramirez, 22, Mario Escobar, 25, Edgar Delgado, 23, Armando
Valle, 29, and Sean Quattro, 20, were arrested Monday after a traffic
stop in the 3400 block of North San Fernando Boulevard led to a
search of their Lexus. Police found a handgun beneath the driver’s
seat and another handgun in a seat pouch, Police Sgt. John Dilibert
said.
Based on the suspects’ statements, police allege the men are
affiliated with a gang and were en route to the Burbank Village area.
They had planned to confront rivals and possibly shoot them, Dilibert
said.
The men are from Sylmar, North Hollywood, Castaic and Los Angeles.
