Group beats up man in parking lot
A 22-year-year-old North Hollywood man suffered minor stab wounds
after being assaulted by a group of five men in a parking lot at 259
E. Palm Ave.
The incident happened Wednesday morning while the man was waiting
for a ride in the parking structure behind Gitana.
The group of men punched and kicked the man, apparently thinking
he was a gang member, Police Sgt. John Dilibert said.
The victim was able to run away.
Police were not sure if the cuts to the man’s arms were from a
broken beer bottle or a knife.
The man was treated at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center and
released, Dilibert said.
