Resident to perform in the Spotlight

Burbank resident Amelia Uzategui Bonilla, 17, a student at Notre

Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, is one of 100 semifinalists in the

15th annual Music Center Spotlight Awards program for performing

arts. Amelia competed in the category of modern dance. Other

categories include ballet, classical voice, nonclassical voice,

classical instrumental music and jazz instrumental music.

She will attend a professional master dance class and compete at

auditions where two finalists will be chosen in each category.

Winners will be announced in mid-March.

They will perform on stage at 7 p.m. April 22 at the Dorothy

Chandler Pavilion.
