Rogers should promote Little League as well
Will Rogers is correct in his complaints regarding his section of
Burbank, even though one still notices the “borderline” with North
Hollywood.
Though he mentions the ballot measure for rebuilding the Northwest
Branch library, he fails to mention the recent opening of the skate
park at Valley Park. What he should also mention, and campaign for,
is a home for the Burbank Little League. Why not take Valley Park one
step further and make it the crown jewel of Burbank baseball
diamonds? Glendale has Brand Park, and even Tujunga has its own fine
stadium to house its Little League teams, while Burbank goes begging
to cities in the Valley.
A Little League stadium, in addition to the skate park and good
landscaping, would really anchor that part of town to Burbank and
make it a family-oriented place to gather. So what about it, Will?
Can you help out the Little League?
