Army Pfc. Nathan J. Holiday, son of Jack D. Holiday of Burbank,

has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning in

Columbus, Ga. He is a 2002 graduate of South Pasadena High School.

Air Force Airman Alex Villalta, son of Hilda Villalta of Glendale,

has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base

in San Antonio. He is a 2002 grad- uate from Glendale High School.

Navy Lt. Jay D. Wylie, son of Forrest Wylie of Glendale, is

halfway through a six-month deployment to the Western Pacific Ocean

and Arabian Gulf while assigned to the U.S. guided-missile destroyer

Benfold, home-ported in San Diego. He is a 1988 graduate of Village

Christian High School.

Navy Seaman Leonard Gonzalez Jr., whose wife is the daughter of

Irma Frank of Coarsegold and Ryan Baggett of Montrose, is halfway

through his six-month deployment to the Western Pacific Ocean and the

Arabian Gulf while assigned to the U.S. destroyer Kinkaid,

home-ported in San Diego.
