Warner Bros. honors its own
MEDIA DISTRICT WEST -- Warner Bros. Studio Facilities will honor
one of its employees each year -- starting this year -- with the
Robert Pincus Exceptional Service Award.
The award was unveiled last month to celebrate Pincus himself, a
30-year veteran who serves as senior vice president of operations.
Future honorees will also be individuals who have demonstrated
exceptional service to Warner Bros. Studios over a significant period
of time.
A permanent bronze plaque listing each recipient’s name will be
mounted at the Gate 2 entrance to the studio.
Awards go to former Burbank employees
BURBANK -- Technology experts who worked for Warner Bros. and the
Burbank studios will be honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts
and Sciences.
Curt Behlmer oversaw the transition of Warner Bros.’
post-production and sound- editorial departments to digital
processing. Richard Glickman worked as a technical consultant to the
president of the Burbank Studios. Both men will receive the academy’s
John A. Bonner Medal of Commendation on March 1.
The medal is named for the late director of special projects at
Warner Hollywood Studios.
