Salon and gift store moving
City Slickers has temporarily moved to San Fernando Boulevard while
construction starts for the Burbank Senior Artists Colony at the
shop’s old location.
A hairstyle salon and gift store, City Slickers has relocated from
252 E. Verdugo Avenue to Kim’s Hair International at 928 N. San
Fernando Blvd. When the colony is complete in the summer of 2004,
City Slickers will move into the new building.
“A move anywhere always has an effect on businesses,” store
manager Rod Alexander said. “But our customers will always be loyal.”
City Slickers donated $250 to the Los Angeles Optimists Club
during its closing party Friday.
The colony will be at the corner of San Fernando Boulevard and
Verdugo Avenue and will provide low-income apartments for residents
62 and older.
