The following incidents were taken from police reports:

HILLSIDE DISTRICT

* 1000 block of Harvard Road: A 45-year-old Burbank woman was

knocked to the ground Wednesday night by a burglar trying to escape

as she came home. When she arrived at her door, the woman found it

unlocked and heard someone inside. A man then ran out of the home,

knocking her to the ground. She was not seriously injured, and told

police nothing was missing.

RANCHO DISTRICT

* Olive Avenue and West Verdugo Avenue: A 44-year-old Burbank

woman and a 46-year-old Burbank man were arrested Saturday on

suspicion of stealing tequila from the Rite Aid in the 1500 block of

West Olive Avenue. The pair drew the attention of officers when one

threw a cigarette out the car window. Officers stopped the car and

found the stolen merchandise.

MEDIA CITY CENTER

* 111 E. Magnolia Blvd.: A 29-year-old Los Angeles man was

arrested Tuesday on suspicion of attempting to purchase a $3,500

laptop computer from Sears using fraudulent identification. The man

allegedly used a phony driver’s license, social security card and

other documents to obtain credit at the store, but also drew the

attention of store security. Police were called to the store and the

man was arrested before he could leave with the merchandise.
