BTA asks voters to ‘stick’ to its picks

Share

On behalf of the Burbank Teachers Assn., we would like to thank

everyone who agreed that a change was needed on the school board and

voted accordingly. We particularly appreciate those voters who

listened to the issues and decided to support our recommended

candidates: Paul Krekorian, Dave Kemp and Larry Applebaum.

In electing Dave Kemp and placing nonincumbents in the second,

third and fourth positions in the voting totals, it seems clear

voters want, and expect, fresh new approaches to problem-solving on

the board. The BTA will work hard in the next month to tell voters

why we believe Krekorian and Applebaum are best qualified to help

lead our district into a new era of leadership, partnership and

accountability.

For those community members who agreed to post our signs for the

primary election, please do not discard them. We are working hard to

provide a sticker to modify the signs for the general election April

8. Since Krekorian and Applebaum are in the runoff, we are placing a

sticker that says “and” in the middle of the sign, over Kemp. If we

have not modified your sign, please call us at 240-9180 and we will

send someone to “sticker” your sign.

C. KIM ALLENDER AND DIANA ABASTA

Co-Presidents, Burbank Teachers Assn.
