The following incidents were taken from police reports:

MAGNOLIA PARK

* 4101 W. Magnolia Blvd.: A clerk at La Paz Liquor fired a

warning shot from a pistol Wednesday after shoplifters began fighting

with her husband. The 52-year-old Burbank woman told police several

young men ran out of the store with beer and whisky. When her husband

grabbed one of the youths in a nearby alley, they began to fight.

After she fired the shot, the youths drove away.

NORTHWEST DISTRICT

* 1000 block of North Griffith Park Drive: A Burbank couple told

police they were robbed at gunpoint Wednesday night. The man told

police they were getting out of their car when a man pointed a

handgun at them and demanded money. He ran away after they gave him

their cash.

MEDIA DISTRICT WEST

* Forest Lawn Drive and Gate 7 at Warner Bros. Studios: A

24-year-old Montrose man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly

crashing his car through Gate 7 at Warner Bros. Studios and driving

around the lot. Other than damage to the gate, police said the man,

who failed a field sobriety test, caused no damage.

AIRPORT DISTRICT

* 2627 Hollywood Way: A 54-year-old Tucson man was arrested

Monday on suspicion of choking a 29-year-old McCall man who got into

a shuttle van ahead of him at the Burbank- Glendale-Pasadena Airport.

The victim was eventually able to break free and place the Tucson man

under citizen’s arrest.

SOUTH SAN FERNANDO DISTRICT

* Third Street and Verdugo Avenue: A 17-year-old Glendale boy was

beaten by a group of young men with baseball bats Sunday night. An

unknown number of people believed to be gang members drove up

alongside the boy and attacked him before driving away, police said.

The boy suffered a half-inch cut to his head.
