More closures along Ventura Freeway

Several more sections of the Ventura (134) Freeway will be closed

this week as soundwall construction continues.

Between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. Monday to Friday, one to two lanes of

the westbound Ventura Freeway will be closed from Hollywood Way to

Lankershim Boulevard. During that time there will also be

intermittent closures of eastbound and westbound Riverside Drive

between the freeway underpass and Hortense Street, Caltrans officials

said.

During the day, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will also be

intermittent closures along Riverside between the freeway underpass

and Hortense, Caltrans officials said.

The $6.8-million project to reduce noise along the freeway is

expected to be completed in spring 2004, Caltrans officials said.
