Burbank High School students to stage second anti-war rally
today
For the second time in two weeks, Burbank High School students will
take to the streets to condemn the United States’ expected invasion
of Iraq.
The students will begin their protest at 3 p.m. today on Third
Street in front of the school. They will walk to City Hall on Olive
Avenue.
The group plans to hold a quiet vigil in front of City Hall for
about 45 minutes.
Student Al Kostalas said that with war imminent, the group plans
to stage weekly protests, but will probably change the time of future
rallies to later in the evening to attract more people.
