‘Gretty Good Time’ final play of season

BURBANK -- The Falcon Theatre concludes its season with the West

Coast premiere of “Gretty Good Time,” opening April 12.

Written by John Belluso and directed by Joe Regalbuto, this

intense drama, initially developed at the Mark Taper Forum’s Writers

Lab, stars Emmy Award-winner Eileen Brennan (“Private Benjamin”), Ann

Stocking and Jay Underwood (“Road to Redemption”).

Frustrated by her life of dependency, a suicidal paralytic with an

irascible sense of humor escapes the confines of her 1950s nursing

home into a surreal dream world. But even inside this world of

fantasy, she must confront the horrors of her past and the reality of

her future.

Playwright Belluso’s most recent local production was “The Body of

Bourne” at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and

Saturdays and 4 p.m. Sundays through May 4. Tickets range from $25 to

$37.50. The Falcon Theatre is at 4252 Riverside Drive in Burbank. For

reservations, call 955-8101.
