Free storytelling workshop Monday
MEDIA DISTRICT WEST -- The second meeting of a free storytelling
workshop hosted by professional storyteller Marjorie Montano will
available to participants who want to rediscover the fun and joy of
the verbal art of sharing stories.
The workshop, from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Providence Health
Center, 3413 W. Pacific Ave., will focus on telling original stories,
honing the necessary skills to research and develop stories and
learning structure, timing and using voice and structure.
Montano has been a professional since 1993 and has performed on
television, in the theater and at embassies in five countries in
Europe. She has also lectured to university students and professors
in anthropology, social psychology and literature classes.

Children perform at the Joslyn Center
MAGNOLIA PARK -- Musician and teacher Nancy Daley is performing
alongside her students, pre-teen children, for adults 55 and older
during the musical show, “The Spring Follies.”
Daley will play the piano while children sing. The show is at 1
p.m. today at the Joslyn Adult Center, 1301 W. Olive Avenue.
The show is free.
