Leave Texas out of protests

“Don’t mess with Texas.”

We refer to the photograph on the first page of your March 22

edition. This picture shows a female protester holding up a placard

reading, “Lets bomb Texas ... they have oil too!”

This student is possibly unaware that Texas is an important part

of our nation and that citizens of this state are almost certainly in

harm’s way of Iraq.

In any organization, be it a company or a country, there is a time

for discussion and debate, but once the boss has made a decision,

everyone must act in unison to make sure that the desired outcome is

achieved.

People like the female in the picture undermine our troops. And

even if you believe the opposite, insulting people does not aid her

cause.

One day, this female, when she is old, will look at this picture

and blush with shame.
