Reader bemoans loss of columnist
As a 24-year resident and owner of the same home for more than 21
years, I have been an avid reader of the Leader, as well as a
much-published Community Forum writer. I am one of those very upset
about the loss of Will Rogers. I did not always agree with Rogers,
but he was necessary, as opposed to columnist David Silva, who I
can’t read anymore after this first two or three inane and boring
personal stories. I dislike the Times immensely, and since the
Tribune Co. bought it, the overall appeal to me is even less.
We are almost forced to buy the paper on Wednesdays and Saturdays
if we want our (formerly) beloved Leader.
Just to let you know that from my house to yours, Rogers will be
missed, and I don’t think I’ll continue to make the effort to read on
a regular basis anymore.
