TCN appoints business manager
BURBANK -- The advertising operations manager for the Leader has
been appointed to the position of business manager for the chain of
community newspapers owned by the Tribune Co.
Debbie Feyerabend will be charged with the task of looking for
ways to generate revenue, save money and help the Times Community
News chain of six Southern California community newspapers be
profitable.
Those papers include the Leader, the News-Press, the Daily Pilot,
the Inland Valley Voice, the Huntington Beach Independent and the
Laguna Beach Coastline-Pilot.
Feyerabend began her career for the chain in 1988 as the
Advertising Services/National Account Manager at the News-Press.
Before that, she worked in the banking industry. She left the
newspaper in 1997, returning a year later when she took the position
of advertising operations manager for the Leader and News-Press.
Hospital names administrator
BURBANK -- Patrick Petre has been named administrator of the
Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, a 427-bed, not-for-profit
hospital. Petre is responsible for the administration of the center
and its affiliates, including the Providence Health Center,
Providence St. Elizabeth Care Center in North Hollywood and the
Valley Radiation Oncology Center in Tarzana.
Petre, who joined the Providence Health System on April 14, has
extensive experience in a number of executive health-care positions
throughout the last 25 years. Most recently, he was the chief
operating officer for Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center
for the past three years.
Nurses hold rally today at hospital
BURBANK -- A coalition of nurses and community supporters will
rally in front of Providence St. Joseph Medical Center today in an
attempt to convince the center’s board of directors to support
hospital improvements.
The rally meets from 3:45 to 5 p.m. in front of the center at 501
S. Buena Vista St.
The Service Employees International Union is hosting the event.
Chamber monthly mixer is Thursday
HILLSIDE DISTRICT-- A cash drawing of $150 is featured at the
monthly Burbank Chamber of Commerce mixer from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Thursday at Olive Park Apartments, 450 E. Olive Ave.
Tickets are $10 for members, $15 for prospective members. For
